FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

 

What are the benefits of living at the BA?

First and foremost is the joyous spiritual atmosphere of active, like-minded fellow Christian Scientists. And, you’re also near The Mother Church and the Mary Baker Eddy Library, Longyear Museum, and a number of local branch churches and Reading Rooms. Additionally, Boston and all its rich cultural, historical, architectural, educational and musical programs and venues are right at your doorstep! 

 

Are pets allowed?

We love pets! Give us a call and let’s talk about yours.

 

Are cable TV and Wi-Fi available?

We have hardwire connections in each apartment and Wi-Fi internet service throughout the building.

 

MAY I BRING MY OWN furniture?

By all means! You’ll want to furnish your new home with your own things.

 

MAY I BRING MY OWN CAR, and how do i get around?

Yes! And, there is free parking. But there are also shops and stores and salons within walking distance, and we provide free transportation to services at the Mother Church, and to many local events and activities. Give us a call – we’ll give you the details!

 

What types of activities can I participate in right on campus?

From the monthly “Monitor Forum” with a former writer from The Christian Science Monitor, to special appearances by speakers and guest artists, to regular concerts, lectures and even sing-alongs, there are many activities and entertainment programs here.

 

Can I have friends and family members visit?

We welcome family and friends! In fact, we’ll often have guest accommodations available right here on campus. And they can also enjoy the cozy sitting rooms, Living Room, and meals in the residents' Dining Room.
